300te engine timing

I am in the process of putting a 300te engine into a 190e 8v. It is to be turbo charged running an aftermarket ecu(distibutorless). I am starting to set up the ECU and i need to know the correct firing order and base timing for the m103.983 engine. I would like to know the ignition timing at idle with vacuum hose disconnected, the ignition timing with only centrifugal advance(and the rpm which it occurs), and the ignition timing with full vacuum advance(and the rpm which it occurs). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need the advance to set a base point for my distributorless ignition. Thanks

Hi,

I recently started a project to install a 300E or 300TE engine into my 190E 8v, but it was too difficult to find a safe, reliable engine for sensible money. I am holding out for a 16v or 500E now, though neither would have the cache of the 3.0 straight six in a 190E.

I can only help you with the firing order - it should be written on top of the engine block somewhere.

If you could post pictures as you do this, or at least keep adding to this thread to keep the forum updated on your project, that would be excellent!

later!
