The best 2-post lift I've seen is an electric screw lift made by Nussbaum of Germany. These are around $3000 plus freight. The lift can be stopped in any position safely, has no hydraulics, is very quiet, and has fairly low posts (124"). For any full-rise lift, a 12' ceiling is about the minimum .

For further info on lift options, see . SD

I plan on installing a 4 post unit by Stinger. They have several customers in the St. Louis area. I have visited the customers and the 4 post is the preferred style. This unit is very high quality delivered to your driveway. I plan on parking my E-Type on the lift with the SLK below. Don't worry about drips, it comes with a diaper and the E doesn't leak (believe it or not). The lift can be outfitted with dollies, so it will move easily. That's the advantage with 4 posts style, always balanced. The unit is great for storage or servicing and they make a variety of options to help with doing the service. Look at Greg
