W124 windshield wiper adjustment

My 1992 300D mono-wiper hits the rubber seal on the right side of the windshield. It has actually ripped the rubber seal and causes the wiper to do a terrible job.

I have read an artilce at the attached link concerning lubricating the mechanism but don't know if that will fix my problem...

Looking for suggestions..

Wayne

adjustment

Not sure which "SeaL" you're talking about. If you mean its hitting at the vertical side , the blade is probably too long. If its hitting at the horizontal edge, I think you can remove the entire wiper assy and simply move it over a few gear teeth.
