All we do is clean out the reservoir with hot water (removed from the car). Then flush it with new brake fluid and dry fully. Then reinstall the reservoir and connect a pressure bleeder an open the valves at the calipers one at a time until clear fluid comes out of each one. All is done with the engine off and key out of the ignition.
