When I make a vertical adjustment to my headlights acording to the bubble level built in to the headlight assembly; They are aimed very high.
The dealer tells me to forget the bubble level and aim them in the conventional way.
I dont find this to be acceptable. It indicates that something else is wrong.
Any similar experiences?

I forgot to mention that the car is a '99 ML 320.

What do you find to be unacceptable about using the "conventional way" to aim your headlamps? If you would like to aim your headlamps as per the recommended procedure you will find that procedure in your owners manual on page 115. I think that you will be surprised to find that this procedure is very much the "conventional way" and that Mercedes-Benz obviously recongnizes it as the proper way.
