w210 foglight screw up
hi all,
in attempting to swap out oem h1 fog bulbs for new set, after having changed one easily, the other bulb seems to be stuck in its socket, almost 'fused'. i looked closely and my untrained eye couldnt see evidence of melting, (i assume its an oem also, proper wattage) but the metal 'strip' of bulb is NOT coming out, i even wound up breaking the danged bulb while trying with pliers , so now i have nothing but a metal 'stub' sticking out of the plug. does this happen often? and now does the whole thing have to be snipped off and new 'plug' soldered in or something? please be kind, a tech-ignorant owner here...thanks! epilogue melted in /fixed/ warranty.

ONE YEAR LATER
ok, here we are one year later, and probably 3 or 4 'meltings' since my initial post, the most recent episode last night, so i've decided to resurrect thread.
and i am wondering if there is a specific MB fix or TSB for this obvious defect? tia , john.

I believe there is a TSB concerning updating the foglight wiring, your dealer should be able to find it in Gp 82 on Netstar.
