i was just told by this european company that makes really nice pro-OEM-style illuminated door sills, that if i were to get 15 orders in, we could get the sills at a discounted rate of under 180.00 plus s/h....

Does this company have a website so that I can look at the sills?

Some companies sell only the front the illuminate, and the sills for the rear doors are just sold stainless steel.

I want all four (4) sills to illuminate.

Where do you splice the wires into, to get them to light up?

hey guys i'm not too sure how the wiring is set up i would assume it would work with the existing under door lights...but please keep this thread open for people interested in ORDERING not INSTALLING...

$180 isn't that great of price; they come up on Ebay all time for $180.

thanks for your input but the ones i've seen on eBay have all been really cheaply made...these are from england and i have had input from previous orderers that the quality is really solid and top notch.

but if you want the ebay route...happy hunting!

I've watched them on e-bay, too, and they generally have gone for between $200-$220 in the auctions I've watched...

Gercia is a good company. I have ordered stuff from them before. Be careful because $180 isn't that great of a deal plus you have to pay customs fees. So that would bring the total up to something you could find here locally.

Oh, well, back to the drawing board.

Dont let me discourage you from getting these from Gericia. I would email them or call them and ask about customs fees. I ordered some stuff from them before and had to pay customs fees. Maybe then can send them as a "gift" or something. There are other companies that sell these, but I forget. lLt me do some checking. I will post back in a day or two.

You may have to call the above company. They don't list the W124 on their site but I know they do sell them, because they used to list them on ebay quite often. I think if you call them they can get them.

Also here is another link. This company is a little more expensive but the price may have lowered since this link is old, and with a group buy it may be even cheaper.

Let me know what you turn up. If all else fails getting them from Gericia isn't that bad. We just had to deal with customs fees, but maybe Gericia will work something on that.

A set is for the front and rear doors.

They are made of chrome, as far as I know.

The color of lights is blue.

Sorry to barge in but, I am interested in custom making some door sills for my car...I want it to say "eXtreme" on it....What would I have to go through to do this...and can anyone help me find some "blank" door sills.

go to benzsport.com and look up illuminated door sills...there's a guy who does custom sills...with your own choice of lettering...
i believe his name is Harris.

I have an extra set of illuminated sills available, as I decided to not install a set on my other car.

These only light up the front two doors. The rear doors are just chrome/stainless and asay Mercedes-Benz. PM or Email if interested. If no reponse soon, then these will be on ebay.
