kick down cable adjustment on 86' 190e

How properly adjust a kick down cable on 86' 190e 2.3?
When I finished cylinder head job, I drove my 190 and noticed that it doesn't shift as well as it was before. I must have changed the cable adjustment when i took the intake manifold off.
Thank you in advance for your help.

To make the car shift sooner you do adjust the control pressure (bowden) cable, you will need to allow several MM clearance at the throttle linkage. However to change the shift firmness you will need to adjust the vacuum modulator on the transmission.
