Hello,

My 1988 300E W124's parking brake is getting too loose - I have to press it all the way down until it almost touches the foot rest)...Can anyone tell me how to adjust it?

Thank you.

Under the center-rear of the vehicle, about even with the leading edge of the rear tires, in the prop shaft tunnel, between the prop shaft and the body you'll find the adjustment 'buckle'; adjust the nut accordingly. I didn't have a manual, so I adjusted until the parking brake pedal engaed at 1/4 - 1/3 throw.
