Unhappy power window problem

My front passenger power window is acting up on me. When I hit the down switch, I have to hold it for like 8 seconds before it goes down. When I hit the up switch, it goes up instantly. The window switch is new so I don't think its the switch that is messed up. Is this something wrong with the window motor? I am suspecting it could be something minor.. but I am not positive.

I don't really know for sure, but since no one else has answered, I'll give this a shot. You said the switch was new, so someone had to have installed it recently. So since it does work (somewhat) and it works fine going the other way, I would say check the wiring and the connection. Maybe upon installation of the new switch something was not connected as well as it should have been.

Thats what I just thought of recently... I got a new wood piece that goes around the shifter, maybe when I put the new switches in.. somehow I didn't properly get it connected or might have slipped out or something. I will check soon and update this thread.
