The fuel pressure reg on MBs is NOT hooked to vacuum (as other cars are). It is just a vent and it is attached to the hose going to the airfilter so that it only gets clean air, instead of pulling in moisture etc.

EGR works off idle. Its possible that it will open without driving. The more important consideration from the point of view of your question is that one solenoid is off on a warm car and the other isn't. The EGR solenoid is the one that is working. The secondary air solenoid closes at some warm-up temp and is closed when warm.
