Cheap turn indicator fix
The dreaded 'brittle plastic' took its toll on the left front turn indicator - the squeeze tab snapped off. I super-glued the broken plastic 'ear' back on with "Plastic surgery" glue. After it dried I slid a couple of speed nuts from a previous stereo speaker instalation over the plastic at the repair - the speed nut gap was the exact thickness of the plastic! Then I applied a thin layer of JB Weld over the repair and let it sit for 15 hours, re-inserted the spring, and seems to work just fine. It slides into place and locks with a satisfying click just like new.
