HID Xenon Headlamp problem

Anyone ever experience this? On my W210 E320, one of the headlights is noticeably dimmer than the other and is of a purplish shade instead of the clear blueish tint. Any ideas?

Thanks for the advice. Does that mean that it is a free fix? The car is out of warranty by miles.
