Headlamp upgrade for '92 300E
Are there particularly good bulbs that I can replace my stock headlamp bulbs with for my '92 300E? What can I put into the car without having to worry about overburdening the electrical/wiring system and still get some kind of real improvement?

Try European version lights... these will give you better lighting.

If you want better lighting - most will tell you to replace the US light assemblies with the Euro lights - better reflectors and more focused beam pattern. That will cost around $300 and is a pretty easy DIY project. If you just want to replace the bulbs, Sylvannia has some different white bulb sets to freshen the look alittle - go with 55/65 watts (55 low beam, 65 high beam - factory wattages). PIAA makes good bulbs too - they cost more, but very bright (Extreme Whites 55/65).

I think these represent a great value for the money. Especially since they come with a $10 rebate for a pair. Typically found in chain auto stores.

I'm with haasman. I went with the Silverstars and they are noticably brighter. I don't want to spend the time and $ to convert to Euro lights, and don't want to give up: 1. headlight wipers and 2. bulb-out warning light.
