280SE to 250C engine swap?

Can anyone tell me if the engine from a 1977 280SE fit in a 1970 250C?......Thanks....Jon

The engine will fit, BUT would require a lot of "special" parts to make everything work. IN 1973 MB sold the 280C(W114.060) with a M110 carburetor engine.

In Germany they had a 280CE(W/C114) chassis but that car had EFI fuel system & different intake manifold.
