My oil light comes on on hard cornering. The dipstick shows level is OK, or even a little high...

My 1986 300E does the same thing from time to time. Didn't they redesign the oil pump on the w124 to compensate for this problem?

Souds like the low oil sender is messed up, on my 86 300E it's located on the left (drivers) side of the oil pan, easy to remove, just have a new O'Ring to seal it up. Pull it out clean it, or replace it.
Anyway, that's what I would do. Can't think of any other reason for the light. See Ya, Chris C. |
