M117 Coolant Cap fell apart.

I opened my coolant cap and the cap came apart into the spring, top and rubberized sealing part. Can this be reassembled? I put it back in pieces but I know it's not right. Should it be replaced?

Yes, you need to replace the cap. A bad cap can lead to overheating, even in the winter. I believe the current recommended cap is a 1.4 bar.
