560 SEL - Cold air in rear
Good day to all. This is my first post and I need a bit of help. I have a 1990 560 SEL and as you can imagine, living in Canada I need heat in the rear seat as well as in the front of the car. When the temperature is set at a normal or even a very high temperature it is nice and toasty in front but the air coming out of the center console is as cold as the air outside. Any ideas what would cause this. Thanks so much.

That vent is for air conditioning only. Leave it closed for winter. Learned that the hard way too!!

|
There are ducts under the front seats that perform the desired function. Close the console ducts.
