No PW, Seats, Wipers, RT Mirror power?
 

Hi all

On my "new" 1982 300SD:

All at once, all the power windows, power seats, wipers, and right mirror control stopped working. Later they all worked. And now they don't again.
Any ideas what could affect all of these at once?
Everything else electrical works fine.

Hope you're not offended by the simplicity of this suggestion, but have you checked your fuses? (And I mean carefully!)

Clean the fuse box.

Nope, didn't clean the fuse box yet. It seems odd that they'd all go at once. But, when I get home tonight, I will clean all the copper fuse holders and replace all the fuses.

I've got the same issue. Was the fuse the issue? I replaced the fuses and still no activity.

Yup, that did the trick.
I bought all new fuses, the ones with the brass or copper elements [the thought is the corrosion is caused by the dissimilar metals of the fuse holders (yellow metal) and the fuses (white metal)], cleaned the fuse holders with a stiff brass brush, pulled each relay, cleaned those prongs as well, and did my best at cleaning the female plugs of the relays.
Everything started working and has been since.
