Faulty Gauges

Greetings:

I own a 560 sel. Driving home tonight I noticed that every gauge on the dash except for the Economy and the Analog Clock weren't working.

Is this something as simple as a fuse, faulty wire or do you think I have a a bigger problem.

Any help re troubleshooting would be appreciated.

Thanks, Timberock

Probable fix

I had the same problem on my 91 190e and it turned out to be the fuse.

The fuse would look ok upon inspection but when I swapped it, all the gauges work.

The fuses on my car are of the ceramic type and are known for this problem.

Not sure on the type of fuses installed in your car but it's a cheap fix to try. Give it a shot!

same problem

timberock, I JUST had the same thing happen with my 1987 560SEL. What was your cause and the fix? I took a quick look and my fuses under hood look OK? Is there another fuse elsewhere? It's raining, so I'll dig in later on, what fuse number if you recall?
Thanks!
Tony
