Mirrors+vandelism!
 

Hi,
This is my 1st post and im posting on behalf of a friend who is visiting from Italy. His car is a E200 1997, left hand drive. It has been recently vandelised in that his wing mirror glass has been "popped out". He says they are both hanging on the wires but the glass seems to be intact. I dont know why they did this?!
Now i suspect he can just push them back into place if the mirror moves around on a ball and socket mechanism, but im not certain as ive never seen the insides of a merc mirror! They are the electric type mirrors that can also fold into the car when parked, if im understanding him correctly.
Id said id take a look at it as i do a lot of work on my cars vauxhall/fiat, but ive never tackled a Merc. Any advice in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated!
