Window regulator guestion 89 420 sel

There doesent seem to be a stop in the up direction either electrical or mechanical. If i keep my finger on the switch to long, the motor keeps pushing the window up.Well today after hearing a clicking noise i removed the door panel and found the last two teeth on the regulator had broken off.My question is when the motor is removed from the regulator and the switch activated, will the motor keep turning? If so then it should not matter how the motor is installed on the new regulator or should i reinstall the motor in the same teeth location on the new regulator?I hope this makes sence. It is a[ brose coburg ]regulator.

Window regulator

It does't matter what position the regulator is in. Just mount the motor and reinstall the regulator.
