Stevebfl...

Althought OT for this forum, this is where you seem to hang out. I'm interested in the Blaupunkt Sub. you sell (VSB-120) and am wondering about 2 things:
  • If I give you a call tomorrow to purchase it, will I have it by Friday for sure?
  • What kind of power cable does it come with? Meaning is it specialized or could I have the wiring ready before it arrives?

TIA

Haasman:
Roger that but I don't need an adaptor, I have RCA outs. What I am wondering is if has a unique power cable, ie ground, hot, trigger in one insulated cable or if it has all separate in which case I can run all of the above in advance. I guess I'll just call tomorrow and find out. Continental imports is the only place in the US that I can find selling them so I thought Steve might know something about them.

BTW, (by the way), TIA=Thanks in advance.

My name is ...

You are welcome. I would guess the setup is very similar to an external amp, in terms of power and ground. Now you've got me wondering .... how does this woofer get its input?

Cool looking setup. Do you have the dimensions of the unit?

Jeff:
This sub can get it's power either way. It has both speaker level inputs as well as line level (RCA). Most head units have RCA line outs that are for amps, which is the same in this case as what you are actually doing is powering an amp. Dimensions are 11.8in x 8.3in x 3.2in, small enough to go under a seat and be invisible. If you don't have the extra outputs, maybe that's what that adaptor is for.

I had a similar unit in my 2002; sure does fill out the sound- without sacrificing the originality of the rear deck, door panels, etc.
