Best Repair Manuals/CD's Come From Where?

I have a 1991 350SDL and I'm looking for a comprehensive repair manual. Haynes has nothing listed and the people tha I can find so far on the internet that sell the CD's don't seem to have them either. I did find a couple that sell a CD set for the W126 through 1991 for $149.95, is this what I need, if so can I beat this price somewhere?

Thank you.

There are lots of Mercedes CD's available on e-Bay. Try a search on "Mercedes 126." They usually go for twenty bucks or less. The copyright issue is something you will need to decide for yourself.

I am not endorsing this approach, merely providing the information.

Genuine MB paper manuals also appear from time to time.

Try callling 1-800-for-merc

Or try FastLane or PartsShop...

I just bought brand new MB factory paper manuals. I prefer them to CDs, because you can actually lay the book next to the car (unless you have a laptop I suppose). I also find them easier to use. Check out www.books4cars.com

Mercedes Manuals

Word of warning: I bought one of the MBZ repair CD's off ebay for my W124 and was disappointed. I'm not sure if my computer is missing some of the software to run it or what but the index doesn't work. I suspect many of these CD's for sale are copies and have lost or missing data.

I also bought a nice Haynes manual that covers the basic stuff off ebay for about $22.

John, I too ran into the problem of invisible files from eBay CD's. I found that on a different computer I could read the files. Once you read the files you'll probably notice they are many pages long. This may have something to do with low RAM on your computer or something like that.

Plus there's more than one way of opening a file. Try locating the file using "My Computer" and opening it up from there.

OR....you can get the paper ones and solve all these problems!:p
