How can I Disable the Factory Alarm in a '93 300D?
 

The driver's door lock is wearing out on my '93 300D and the alarm goes off every time I open the door. Rather than spend money on a new lock cylinder I'd rather just disable the factory alarm.

Does anyone know how? I think it's probably the same car as a 300E. I've found some info about unpluggin a connection under the passenger floormat but that doesn't seem to apply to this year.

Any help is appreciated.

Pull the passenger floor mat. Set off the alarm. It will be ticking like a time bomb. You will know what to disconnect.
