I accidentally turned my engine CCW twice while adjusting Fuel Injection pump timing instead of CW. This on my 83 240D. I didn't "force" anything.
Did I damage my engine? Can I finish timing it now that I know what I'm doing?

It's never good to turn engine backwards, but this engine doesn't have the "plastic" timing chain rails or locking tensioner that most other models have. So I'll bet that your engine is still O.K.
