More importantly, What brand of guitar strings do you guys play? Really, who ever changes their oil any way? Oil is like wine. It gets better with age. Besides changing your oil requires you to buy oil. When buying oil you are just puttin money into a corperate controlled government thats gonna go to war with Iraq over oil....................Think about it. You or your son is gonna get drafted and die if you change the oil in your car!

Mercedes-Benz is now recommending that all FSS-equipped vehicles leave the oil drainplug off and install their Mannheim total-loss oiling system, which apparently is a gravity-feed cannister mounted in place of of the oil filler cap. This revolutionary system ensures a fresh supply of engine lubricants while eliminating sludge build-up as you drive. I understand their experience with diesel automobiles led them to believe this system would be socially acceptable to other motorists.

Don't let that expensive synthetic oil get dirty!!!!
Go here, http://www.kalecoauto.com/ and get the Motor Block Oil Bypass Kit-
Modern synthetic oil is very expensive - so why run the risk of getting it dirty by running it through your motor block? KaleCo bypass kit comes with everything you need to run the oil around your motor block where it will do more good. Oil runs cooler, and as a result, there may be horsepower gains! You can get some cross drilled brake lines there too

I prefer the permalube system. Put any cheap, non-detergent 40 weight oil in after the first dealer service. Under no circumstances use detergent oil (probably only the old-timers know what I'm talking about -- if you don't, find a farmer over 80 with only dead tractors, he will set you straight).
Once it gets good and black, just top off once in a while. That pesky drain plug will silt up pretty soon and stop dripping, ditto for the valve cover gaskets, etc. The filter is solid, too, so you don't need to change that, either -- next best thing to maintenance free driving! Peter

While I on the other hand prefer a little detergent action to keep in internals clean and sparkly. For the best detergent action, use the green liquid Dawn. The inside of my engine is a bright as a freshly cast block. And let me tell you, this stuff is super slick and slippery. Any old oil leaks I had, have allowed the detergent action to work wonders on the exterior surfaces too, not an oil stain anywhere.
Just be careful where you step in the garage, remember this stuff is slippery!!!!
