I have a 1986 300E. When I bought it, the hose which feeds the filter box was badly mangled. I finally got around to replacing it and I notice that the new hose has a slot in it to put an air temp or flow sensor into. The problem is, I can find no wires or connectors which would plug into this slot. Did the 1986 300E have one of these sensors? I suppose it's possible that I was sold an intake hose which was meant for a later model with the sensor.
Thanks, Joe Slemp |

1986 300E don't have air intake temp sensor
you should find a plug to cover the hole.... ask dealer to find one for you. ------------------ MB STARS Master Guild Technician,12 years MB tech 5 years independent shop owner |

If you don't have the plug, don't worry. The hole is down stream of the air filter and won't hurt anything.
