96 C280: I recently acquired my C280 and it came with a remote control. It seems that needed batteries so I bought a couple and voila starting working. After three days of working just fine, stopped and I bought another set of batteries. Unfortunately is not working again. In addition I found out from where I got the car that the remote control belonged to another MBz !!!! So my questions are:

1.Other RC's are supposed to work interchangeably with other MB'z. I would think not but who knows!!!

2.Do you think that the batteries are going out because a short on the RC or similar?

3.Best place to buy additional remotes? EBay perhaps? How much should I be expecting to pay for them?
