Understanding that all 126 series front fenders are interchangeable, can I assume that the mounting holes for the side mouldings are also the same ?

Thanks in advance

The later ones may have had more cladding? I think.

Older ones have ribbed moulding, newer ones are smooth. Just not sure if they share the same mounting holes/clips.

Thanks, TXBill -

Wanting to explore some options to deal with the fenders that have developed minor rusting near the end of the bumper on one side and around the moulding on the other. They're just bad enough to be more then noticeable and I'm hoping I'll have better luck with price if I have a broader selection then asking specifically for a '81 fender. The rust is stabilized with the converter stuff so it won't get any worse for the time being.

OK, Txbill gets the award for the best sense of humor. Sorry about the crash, by the way.

Hi, TXBill -

Need both sides...
My fender mouldings are in good shape so don't need them unless he wants to leave them on.
Not sure if they have to be removed first in order to unbolt the fender.
There's also a rubber piece that connects between the end of the bumper and hooks into the fender wheel opening - it's loose due to that part of the fender developing rust.
I could give him a call if that would save you the trouble.
Thanks for your help.
