'98 C280 Plug Wires

On the V6 motor w/ 2 plugs per cylinder do the plug wires pull straight off or do you have to turn the metal shields? Quick response is appreciated

It is advisable to turn the metal shield to help break loose the boot from the spark plug. Also do not pull on the plug wire to remove - the wire may separate from the metal shield. I use a spark plug boot remover tool from snap-on. I also coated my new spark plugs with dieletric grease to prevent the boot from sticking to the plug.
