Question Techs, which do you use?

I'm curious which spring compressor you MB techs use for the rears in a W203. I have a brannick that I can use for the fronts. I also can do the rears without a spring compressor but would feel much better using the tool MB suggests. I tried the one that Performance Products rents (Sir Tools) but that one has a hex shape on the lower end that won't allow it to go through the access hole. A MB special tool part number would be ideal.

My dealer said he will order any tool I want, but it's up to me to find the part number.

Thank You.

The rear spring tool is the same one that has been used for 18 years. The W201 chassis (190E) springs are almost the same as they are using now. Baum, AST, & Technic tools all have that spring compressor.

2 MB part numbers for that tool. 202-589-14-63-00 & 202-589-02-31-00. DEALER cost for those 2 tools are $675. + whatever they add to their cost.
