clear oily fluid under car
Today I noticed I small splotch of fluid under my car directly below the tranny pan. The fluid is almost clear and has an oily feel to it. It appeared to be dripping from somewhere near the tranny pan, on the driver side where there is this ribbed hose (about 1 inch in dia.). I don't think it is ATF, oil, or water. Could it be coolant? I don't have the green stuff, but the orange coolant. In small amounts could it look clear? The leak or whatever it was is gone now. BTW, I did not use the AC or heater. I noticed the puddle after I moved my car from one spot to another in my driveway.

Have you replaced or added brake fluid recently? Power Steering fluid?

I you have the hydraulic suspension as found in the 140 body cars and wagons, that fluid is clear and oily, the pomp sits on the front of the engine and there is also resovoir on the fender well
