Sorry gents to bother you again, but I'm back to the windows problem again (stuck in the down position. I have the 300E 1987. I have the panels off completely. I need to get the window up(passenger rear window drivers side). Is there a way to do it without destroying te car? I noticed it is operated by a cable and slides along the runners.
Help? |

Be carefull We do this every day with no damage. Just take off the black clip holding the window slide jaw into the track. Then slide the window up and tape it at the top. Take out the bolts holding in the old part and replace it. You can't fix them that I know of.
We carry them in the partsshop. ------------------ Benzmac: 1981 280GE SWB 1987 16V ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |

Is their a bad switch? Front or rear switch?
Also very common is broken wires in the door jamb, the webbing harness tighten and pulls the wires apart over time.... ------------------ |

Thanks guys, I did get the window up and now can at least work on the car when I have the time. All suggestion were on the money. Although I have yet to figure out if its the motor or the wiring harness.
