fuse blown again

I have a 1988 Mercedes 190E 2.3 Liter.
I have to replace a fuse every 2 or so days. It is the number 10 fuse on the fuse box. It controls the outer temperature guage and the rpm dial. That fuse blows every few days and I keep replacing it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Do you by any chance hear a switch click when this happens?

I had something similar, my rpm needle would first go crazy and jump all over, but at the same time I heard the fuel pump relay switching constantly and then the fuse would blow. This was a mistake on my part thoug, resoldering joints on the fuel pump relay got a bit messy. Othen then that check the wires, could be worn out somewhere.

xp
