How can I get to the inside surfaces of the glass lenses covering the speedometer and instrument cluster to clean them?

Pull out the whole thing out of your dash, remove the individual instruments and carefully clean them. To remove the cluster, fashion two pieces of metal with a small hook at the end, (a metal coat hanger works great) slip one in on each side between the cluster and the dash, turn the wire so that the hooks will grab the cluster and pull. The cluster ought to come out enough to give you room to disconnect any cables and wires attached to it. Be careful when removing gauges, so that you don't loose that darn little spring that actuates the trip odometer. Take your time.
Hope this does it for you!

Thanks Larry. I was afraid I had to go in from the back. :-[ Found I can take the cluster out, no problem. But now I have to devise a system to see that everything gets connected back where it belongs before I do any disconnecting.
