Dust Filter replacement 98 W210
What are the proper procedures for replacing Dust Filter and Activated Charcoal Filters on W210? How often should they be replaced? Any advice would be appreciated.

We swap in a new set every B service or 30k. Remove the plugs covering the skrews in the glove box, remove it and the access plate is right behind there, slide the white plastic retainer upwards and remove the cover, the filters (yes, there are 2) are laid in side by side with the r/h one requiring a slide to the left to remove.
The glove box comes out door and all, do this with a warm interior, grasp the door firmly, pull to the right then snap it back and to the left, out it comes. Want to make it easier next time? Trim the 3 tabs on the top of it with a pair of side cutters. REMOVE THE GLOVE BOX LAMP FIRST! Joe

The activated filters are under the r/h side of the dash in their own seperate compartments, these we recomend around 90k.
(never had anyone buy a set but, flow through these is only with the filter button activated or the smog sensor activating them. ) Joe
