Gasket or silicon on tranny pan?

Anyone know if they use a gasket or silicon on the tranny pan? And while I have it down,,, is there an adjustment to firm up the shifts on my 95 E320TE?

If I remember correctly - there is a rubber gasket in there. No sealant needed for this application. Make sure you torque to the correct setting or you will just create leaks with your new gasket. Do a search on "vacuum modulator" for firming up the shifts.
