I think it's 25 to become a regular Member.
And then a hundred to make a Senior Member. Hopefully there'll be something like Grand Senior Member when we top a thousand!! All of this kind of info is in the FAQ of Mercedesshop!

Nothing happens between 100 and 500 posts? Like maybe a Journeyman Senior Member? 1000+ would be Master Senior Member, and 5000+ Grand Master Poobah Senior Member.
They should give out pins like MB does when you reach a milestone. Like the MercedesShop.com logo with links to attach the member classification (like military marksmanship medals). Interesting...your member classification has nothing to do with how much wise advice you dispense or how long you've been a forum member, but by how many threads you can initiate! So let's all clog the pipeline and become senior members as fast as we can!! (Maybe that's what happened yesterday?)

I've always wanted to be a Grand Poohbah. Does that have anything to do with The Royal Order of Iguanas?

You see? Now you only need 11 more to become a member!
BTW...I think Fred Flinstone (and Barney Rubble) were in the Royal Order of Water Buffaloes...and the head cheese there was the Grand Poobah! This post just put me in at 70...30 more to go! Hee Hee!!

Actually, we need to get to 30 before we become a regular Member. I hear we get diplomas and everything. If I came up with some earthshaking bit of advice, say, a way to make every Benz get 100 mpg would that get me up to Super Duper Senior Grand Poohbah Member? God, I'd love that.

Membership levels
Funny how you are a better human being if you own a Mercedes and are a senior member. Almost like being in the royal family.
What's more, when you are a senior member you are less subject to making mistakes and repeating erroneous information. Now, how do I remove my tongue from my cheek? |

I am on a Buick club, as well as a Pontiac club- very similar to this site. I have over 1400 posts on the Buick club and 500 on the Pontiac club, but I have been on the Buick club for about 2 years now and a year on the Pontiac club. I do not know how I posted so many times- but I did. A lot of typing.

If you are on this site at least five times a week and submit a couple of posts per day, you can do the math and see how fast the numbers add up!
I generally post an average of three per day...I'm nowhere to be found on weekends...except maybe in the garage trying out all of those helpful MB tips!

I'm surprised to see this thread had been resurrected. A little context will help explain things here. This thread was started last year and at the time the site was experiencing technical issues where they had to jettison a lot of posts that one had accumulated. I had a few posts, maybe 20 or so and was looking forward to becoming a regular member. So...when the site went down and came back online I was surprised to see that I only had SIX measley posts. And now you know...the REST of the story. *
Thom *with apologies to Paul Harvey...who I can't stand.
