'92 140 chassis ABS
 

Hello!
After having my ABS failure diagnosed at my M-B dealership in Buffalo, I was told that the two front co-axial type sensors and cables are faulty, and that only new parts can be ordered form Germany for $800+. The job to remove and replace is not than difficult, so rather than installing new parts, is it possible that the sensors have just become faulty due to corrosion and dirt, and can simply be cleaned? Any suggestions? I miss my ABS!
