Can someone give me an idea how many hours of labor is involved in taking apart the roof to get the sunroof fixed ? 87 300E.

I've been quoted $800 as a starters point for removal, and then parts/labor there on. At this rate it seems like around $1200 !!by a private shop. Seems too high to me. Any Ideas ?

Is it a DIY by any chance ? If so does anyone have any pics/steps outlining the procedure ?

I paid $1200 for my moonroof repair and they were able to save some parts too! The headliner alone is about $300 for the moonroof. Some threads about removing the headliner in tact but I don't think it applies to my '94.

hey\guys well even 1200 dollar estimate seems very reasonable to be there are many parts involved in it it depends on you if u are up for it i think u should go with that guy but again in that case some times they start the work and later they let u know the other parts and labor involve in it so becareful ,,no way it is a DIY thing dont even think about it BUDDY
