I need to adjust the valves on my 1983 300SD Trubo Diesel. My friend and I removed the valves cover and measured the current calibration. What we found was that all the valves were adjusted at approximately .010mm. I did not recalibrated the valves because we could not determine which valves were the intake and which were the exhaust. If I stand in front of the engine (from the timming chain) can someone tell me wich is the intake valve and wich is the exhaust. I appreciate any advise. Thanks

It goes
e i i e e i i e e i In that order from front to rear. I think the spec is intake .015 and the exhaust is .035 in mm with engine warm. ------------------ Benzmac: 1981 280GE SWB 1987 16V ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |

I'm glad that I did not proceed with the calibration because it was going to be wrong. Thanks for your input.
