Cool electrical short

1989 300e gas. battery drains If I pull #8 fuse, delay entry relay clicks as soon as fuse is re-installed, and drain is gone. I replaced relay, with same result. I can't find a book locally with wiring diagram, and have no owners manual, so I don't even know what the fuse is for, biut if I don't pull the fuse, and re-install, each time I exit the vehicle, the battery croakes, and quickly.
Thanks for any info,

It sounds like you have a diode failure in one of the control units. Possibly the warning module.

Try getting the service CD on Ebay. It has the entire wiring diagram and you can track each circuit behind each fuse.

It helped me with a drain that turned out to be the trunk light remaining on. It was because I removed the panelling that the switch pushed against and would not turn off the light.

Good luck!
