Buzzer Location
 

Does anyone know where the warning buzzer (lights on, key in ignition, etc) is on the W201 ('85 2.3)? The volume on mine is really faint and I've left the lights on a couple times because I didn't hear the buzzer. Thanks

Mine was loud and wanted to silence it, opposite reasons, same place. Its in the side (lower fender) to the left of your left foot if its on the floor while you're driving. You'll have to take the floor mat up and an extra piece of interior molding to get to it.

Thanks Jim, I'll have a look down there. I was just about to borrow a stethescope, Q-tip my ears and start searching. I hope it's just some basic, radio shack type of buzzer and not a price-no-object, Bosch labeled part, like the O2 sensor. :)

So I assume that the buzzer is located in the same place in a W123? If so, I can figure out why mine stopped working, and try to get it to work again.
