One shot window

The drivers side one shot window control has stopped working on my '93 S500. It worked fine yesterday but not today! The normal first position hold down works fine - any ideas?

TIA Andy

Have you tried closing the window when locking the car with the key OR remote? IF the window works that way then you need a new switch in the console.

Can these console switches be cleaned like the early cars? (123/124)

When my dirvers side window switch quit working I looked all over for "switch cleaner". Radio Shack had carried but was out of stock. I took a risk and shot a tiny spray of WD40 in the switch while still in place in the console. Then I used canned compressed air to blow out the excess. Switch has worked fine ever since. Being in the console where they are, these switches appear to be vulnerable to anything gravity pulls down into the cracks.
