98 C230 Fuel Filter/Spark Plugs
 

The service booklet calls for replacement of the fuel filter and spark plugs at maximum 4 yrs. or sooner depending on mileage. Searched this forum for guidance on these replacements, but found none -- although I could've missed it. I know these are relatively simple tasks, but any help would be appreciated. For example, removal of engine top cover?

The spark plugs are very straight forward. Just remove the plastic air tube, then the plastic cover in the center of the valve cover. the spark plugs require a 5/8 socket & 6" extension.

The fuel filter is under the car & requires removal of another plastic cover. Fuel will come out when replacing the filter SO you must be very careful.
