16V Cold Start!

I have a problem w/ cold start on my 1987 16v. I put in a new motor, and the problem started. Above 50 no problems, but when its cold I have to crank for 10 minutes. Anyway, I have gone through the trouble tree, and I have 7000 ohms going in to the computer, but nothing coming out. Do I need a computer or is there some unknown secret? I will probably rig it up w/ a switch off the ignition crank signal if I need a computer. Suggestions?

I think there is a switch called "Cold-Start switch" that increases the idle speed when the temperature falls?

I had the same cold start problem on my 86 16v, I told my mechanics to change the cold start valve but he change the all injector at around 110000 mileage, and fuel pump module. Since then, I have no problem to start cold. With Chicago's cold weather, follow the owner's manual's suggestion, step on gas pedal few times and hold the pedal to the bottom while you crank the engine. Good luck
