Timing the 3.8 liter distributor - illustrated
 

I have added pictures of how to time the 1981/82 manually timed distributor on the 3.8 liter M116.960 engine to my web site, as part of the timing chain replacement page.

By the way, the performance improvement with the new timing chain is quite noticeable - feels like an extra 10 hp.
