Hello there,

Can anyone give me advice on the following problem?
I have a 94 C220, with about 100,000kms. When I slow down to make a complete stop, the car lunges forward violently as I press the brake. It'll usually jump forward three or four times until I've brought the car to a complete stop.
This only happens at very slow speeds, usually seconds before I come to a complete stop.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Satinder.

If you have some shop that can read computer codes I'll bet that you will find a problem with the throttle actuator. This system has electronic controls & will demonstrate these symptoms.

Does the C220 has electrica tranny or Hydraulic?? My Grand Cherokee would do the same, too. But usually only the the last minute of stopping(I believe it's when the tranny downshifts from 2nd into 1st). And dealer told me it's normal since my Jeep is a 1993, and tranny is getting out(or is the dealer giving BS again...?).

Happy Motoring...

This car does not have the electronic trans. It came in the '97 and newer ones.

AKRI - I don't have experiance with the Benz problem, but I own a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same problem. Jeep replaced my drive shaft (under warranty) and that fixed the problem.
