I'm chasing down a slow coolant leak and I think I've narrowed it down to a freeze plug at the rear of the engine between the bellhousing and the rear engine mating surface. I'm getting a coolant leak from this location with cooling system pressures above 4 PSI.
Needless to say I'm not thrilled with the idea of having to remove the transmission.
Does anybody know if there are freeze plugs at the rear of an M119 engine? Are they accessible after removing the transmission and the flex plate.
